- The Road to World Car 2026 is an annual journey that follows our international jurors as they test-drive, and vote on, the eligible vehicles for the 2025 awards season.

- Jurors test-drive the 2026 eligible vehicles.
November 2025
- November 17 - 19, 2025: 11th L.A. Test Drives in Pasadena, California that coincides with press day at the L.A. auto show on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
January 2026: World Car Finals - The Countdown Begins
- World Car Finals Countdown Begins.
- World Car Person of the Year
- Top ten finalists in World Car of the Year; and top five finalists in World Luxury Car, World Performance Car, World Urban Car, World Electric Vehicle of the Year, and World Car Design of the Year.
- Second round of test-drives and voting begins.
- World Car Person of the Year is announced.
February 2026: Finalists' Test Drives
- Jurors test-drive Top 10/5 finalists, to select the winners.
March 2026: World Car Finals - Top Three in the World
- Top Three in the World finalists announced.
April 2026: The Winners
- Wednesday, April 1, 2026: All World Car Award winners announced live at the New York International Auto Show
